Belmont: Bank of America branch robbed Friday

BELMONT – Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Belmont on Friday.

The robbery was reported about 11 a.m. at the Bank of America branch on the 2000 block of Ralston Avenue, the Belmont Police Department said in a news release.

The suspect, who was described only as a male, inferred he was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the teller before fleeing the scene, police said.

Investigators are working with witnesses and surrounding law enforcement agencies to identify the suspect, police said.

No other information was immediately available.
