Fremont: Two teens stabbed in Ardenwood neighborhood

FREMONT — A teenager was in stable condition at a hospital and another was receiving treatment after a double stabbing in the city’s Ardenwood neighborhood, police said Monday.

Around 6:10 p.m., police received a report of a possible stabbing in the 5000 block of Amberwood Drive, according to a statement.

When officers and Fremont Fire Department firefighters arrived, they found two boys suffering from stab wounds.

One teen was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of major injuries, while the other was treated at a hospital for a hand injury, police said.

Investigators were interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence to understand what happened between the teens, who police said knew each other.
