The packaging of the GeForce RTX 3090 is the same as the GeForce RTX 3080, but bigger to accommodate the 3-slot wide load monster that is the GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition.
The bottom side of the card retains the same styling as the RTX 3080 but again, much bigger. The infinity surround makes a much more pronounced X pattern this time around and the fans are significantly larger.
The top (or backplate) area of the card brings the RTX 3090 branding into full view and looks strikingly similar to the other side. Again at the rear (front of the case) we see the return of the reverse swept fan that will pull air through the heatsink. And from this angle, you can see the cutout for the only card in the Ampere gaming lineup to feature NVLink support.
To get a real sense of scale we lined up the GeForce RTX 3080 Founders edition with the GeForce RTX 3090. All of these images are the cards at the same distance from the camera to try and get a sense of just how much bigger the RTX 3090 Founders Edition really is, it’s massive folks.
How about installed into a case that isn’t exactly compact?
