Berkeley injury shooting under investigation

BERKELEY — Police were investigating an injury shooting in a Southwest Berkeley neighborhood that left a man with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said Wednesday.

At 2:54 p.m., officers responded to the area of San Pablo Avenue and Murray Street for a report of gunfire, Berkeley police Officer Byron White said in a statement.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle struck by gunfire. Soon after, officers learned of a man suffering from a gunshot wound who arrived at an area hospital, White said.
