A shooting Saturday killed a man in the Lakeshore commercial district of Oakland, police said.
Authorities did not identify the man immediately, pending notification of his relatives, and they did not name a suspect. A person seen running from the area might be a suspect, police said.
The shooting first was reported at 5:56 p.m. at Lakeshore Avenue near Mandana Boulevard, and police said it happened at a bus stop.
The man died at the scene.
Police have not established a motive for the shooting and remained at the scene. The location is a busy commercial area and many streets in the area were shut down for the investigation.
Police and Crime Stoppers are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for any information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
