EL CERRITO — BART said its El Cerrito Del Norte station was closed with trains not stopping after reports of police activity Thursday evening, authorities said.
Around 7:40 p.m., staffers responded to reports of an incident within the station by sending alerts that trains were not stopping, followed moments later by a closure. There were no initial reports of injuries. Trains began stopping at the station shortly after 8;30 p.m.
AC Transit set up a mutual-aid bus bridge between Richmond, El Cerrito Del Norte and El Cerrito Plaza using its No. 72 bus. Check back for updates.
