OAKLAND — Police were investigating an injury shooting in an East Oakland neighborhood Monday, authorities said.
Around 2:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting victim near 73rd Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in his mouth and learned the man had been struck at an apartment complex in the 8300 block of Bancroft Avenue before being brought to an Oakland fire station.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
No word was immediately available on a suspect.
